Wide Awake Festival Add IDLES, shame, Goat Girl and More

London debutant Wide Awake Festival have introduced extra names for his or her thrilling day trip in Brockwell Park this September.

Fittingly, a wholesome chunk of the lineup comes from the blossoming South London scene who are sometimes related to (and in some ways shaped by) iconic Brixton venue The Windmill, positioned simply not far away from competition website.

These embrace the likes of Goat Girl, shame, Los Bitchos, Black Country, New Road and scene-adjacent Bristolians IDLES, who be part of beforehand introduced scene stalwarts black midi on the invoice for the competition’s first version.

Additionally added to the programme are Altin Gün and Kikagaku Moyo, proponents of Turkish and Japanese psychedelic rock respectively, Afrobeat/jazz collective KOKOROKO and Irish post-punk purveyors The Murder Capital, whereas DJs Ivan Smagghe and DEBONAIR bolster a powerful digital music providing which already boasted revered names like Erol Alkan, Dr. Rubinstein, Lena Willikens and Daniel Avery.
