Indianapolis-based 800 lb. Gorilla will carry out within the “Stay on the Heart” sequence at 8 p.m. Jan. 23 in a livestream from the Palladium on the Heart for the Performing Arts in Carmel. “Stay on the Heart” is a brand new sequence of free livestreamed concert events that includes native and regional artists in genres from jazz and classical to soul and indie rock.

A rising presence on the Midwest jam scene, 800 lb. Gorilla blends indie music craft with funk, jazz and electronica influences to create a driving, danceable sound. The band is fronted by Mark Humphrey (guitar, lead vocals), Kwame Newton (keyboards, saxophone, vocals) and Andy Greenwell (keyboards, lead vocals).
