A weekend of free jazz kicks off on Saturday, and whereas we’re speaking about no-cover jazz—and never essentially the experimental strategy to jazz improvisation pioneers within the ‘50s and ‘60s—don’t be shocked if trumpeter James Suggs channels the wilder sides of Miles, ‘Trane, Monk or Don Cherry at this gig on the Indie’s Seminole Heights patio.
