Daft Punk split up after 28 years of music


Feb. 22 (UPI) — Daft Punk has cut up up after 28 years of constructing music.

The French digital music duo, composed of Man-Manuel Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, introduced their retirement Monday.

In a video, titled “Epilogue,” Homem-Christo and Bangalter are seen strolling within the desert in black outfits and their signature helmets. The pair face one another earlier than one walks away and explodes.

The clip options excerpts from Daft Punk’s 2006 movie Electroma and a choral model of the duo’s music “Contact.”

Daft Punk’s publicist, Kathryn Frazier, confirmed Monday to Selection that the duo have damaged up.

Daft Punk fashioned in Paris in 1993 and launched such singles as “One Extra Time,” “Digital Love” and “Tougher, Higher, Quicker, Stronger.” The duo composed the movie rating for the 2010 movie Tron: Legacy and launched their fourth album, Random Entry Recollections, in 2013.

Daft Punk gained 4 Grammy awards for Random Entry Recollections, together with Album of the Yr and Report of the Yr for “Get Fortunate,” in 2014.
